Julie Mead
Mrs. Mead is very much a "hands on owner". You will find her in the classroom as well as on the clinic floor. Teaching is her passion. Mrs. Mead has been an educator for a number of years and can make the very complicated subjects seem simple and easy to understand. She also has the obvious "owner responsibilities" but her door is always open to students.

Mrs. Mead has spent a lot of time working with Opera Omaha so she brings a wealth of knowledge about stage and wigs to her educational repertoire.
Craig Mead
Vice President/Owner
Mr. Mead is the author of the EQ STARS program. He and Mrs. Mead developed this program as the foundation of EQ School of Hair Design. Mr. Mead is passionate about doing things with quality and integrity so that everyone can work and learn in a professional atmosphere. His expertise is in business and finance.

Mr. Mead brings a wealth of knowledge derived from his experience in areas other than cosmetology. You will meet Mr. Mead the first week of school as he introduces the STARS program.
Linda Ring
Financial Aid Director
Financial Aid can be difficult to understand, but Mrs. Ring has a wealth of knowledge to help you with the process. She will help you complete your FASFA, explain the different elements of finacial aid and provide you with information during school and answer any questions you may have about your FA after you graduate. Her long time committment to EQ School of Hair Design as well as being a former graduate enables her to have a great deal of knowledge about cosmetology and what it takes to be a successful student. Her door is always open to help you as you move through the various phases of learning.
Mandy Puterbaugh
Administrative Assistant
As the administrative assistant, Ms. Puterbaugh plays an important role in EQ School of Hair Design. One of the most important parts of her job is computing student attendance and grades. Ms. Puterbaugh prepares a weekly print out for each student that keeps you abreast of your progress while you are in school.

This helps students prepare and plan for their success at EQ School of Hair Design. In addition to those duties she assists the management team with the traditional office duties.
Marla Rife
Mrs. Rife is one of those people that never stops learning and is committed to you-the learner! She will ensure that you leave EQ School of Hair Design with as much information as she can impart upon you. Mrs. Rife will be an integral part of all phases of your learning. She teaches Basics, Advanced Classes as well as the Clinic Floor. She really enjoys the "one on one" with a student and is willing to take the time to walk you through the process. She believes in excellence and demands nothing else of herself or those that surround her. Mrs. Rife also believes that learning should be fun and has incorporated games and prizes as a part of her teaching style.
Robin Snodgrass
Curriculum Coordinator/Instructor
Ms. Robin is involved in all phases of your cosmetology training. She has been involved in many different areas of cosmetology over the years including stylist, make up artistry and in management of a distributorship.
Robin displays much patience and compassion for our students which ensures precision in technical abilities and skill.
Margi Clark
Events Director
Ms. Clark has been a professional in the beauty industry since 1975. She is a licensed cosmetologist, a former salon manager, salon owner, and Admissions recruiter.
She has worked as a professional educator for manufacturers including Joico, Helene Curtis, Gerda Spillman Skin Care and Matrix.
Her experience has included doing platform stage work for several industry icons including Eric Fisher and Farouk. She has worked national distributor trade shows all over the country for distributors including Peels, State, Armstrong McCall and Victory Supply houses.
She loves being a mentor to younger stylists and students and keeps EQ involved in Omaha Fashion Week, Kansas City Fashion Week and other fashion/media events that involve hair and fashion.
She is passionate about promoting the image of the hairstylist as a professional and loves the salon industry!
Kara Higgins
Ms. Kara, a former graduate, enjoyed school so much she decided to pursue instructing! Her approach to teaching is calm, consistent and creative. She will take the time to see you through the "process", whether in the classroom or on the clinic floor. Ms. Kara is committed to your success and will help you learn all you need for the entry level position in the salon industry.
Vicki Billington (Ms. B)
Client Coordinator
Ms. B has been in the business of Beauty for 20 years. She is an EQ School of Hair Design graduate from 1994. As a student, she placed 4th in the state wide Student Competition in Des Moines.
Her experience as a student validated her desire for life-long learning.
She believes in education and learning at every opportunity. She is a Licensed Permanent Color Technician, (attended the renowned Susan Church IIPC, International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics in Orange County, CA), Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Massage Therapist, Nail Technician, Cosmetology and Esthetics Instructor as well as a salon owner in the Council Bluffs area since 1996.
She has a rich educational history and has been working with students since 1999. Students are her passion and she brings her vast, valuable experience to our students with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Ms. B is our Client Coordinator as her primary responsibility but is also invaluable as an Instructor and mentor.
Shay Edie
Admissions Advisor, Instructor
Ms. Edie graduated from high school with high academics and had two career options in mind for college.
Cosmetology and teaching were both in her heart..... Little did she know that in just a few years she would be doing both!
She decided to stay close to home and family and enrolled in EQ School of Hair Design for Cosmetology. She graduated exactly on her contract date because of her work ethic and decided early on to make attendance a priority. Her hard work paid off and she was hired immediately and began her career in a local salon where she excelled quickly.
Ms. Edie is excited to return to EQ as the newest Admissions Advisor and is excited to share her passion of the industry to students interested in enrolling as well as earning her Cosmetology Instructor's license so she can pursue her love of teaching.
She continues to work in a salon part time and in her spare time she teaches tumbling classes in her hometown of Red Oak to 4 year olds up to seniors in high school.
Maria Hughbanks
Maria Hughbanks, a 2001 EQ graduate, has many years of salon experience and is excited to share her knowledge and passion with upcoming professionals.
Ms. Maria was a mentor for new and upcoming stylists in the salon world and found her love for teaching.
With her passion and dedication for the industry she will help you to succeed.
Her desire and drive to never stop learning, will keep you up-to-date and on track with all salon services.
